Interview Summary

Christopher Wiggins grew up in Corbin, Kentucky. In this interview he talks about his childhood, when he realized he was gay, and why he decided not to tell his family while he was in high school. He talks about his experiences on the school football team and his early sexual experiences.

He talks about marrying a woman and having a daughter. He talks about why the marriage ultimately ended, his happiness while in the relationship, and the friendship he rekindled with his ex-wife after the divorce. He talks about his long-term relationships after his divorce and beginning to date men. He talks about coming out to his parents after the divorce and how they both reacted.

Wiggins discusses violence and bullying in schools and why weakness makes someone more of a target than actually being gay. He talks about what it is like to visit his hometown now and his experiences at his high school reunion.
