Interview Summary
Lee begins the interview by explaining how he got a job at WRFL in high school. Following this, Lee details the skills that he learned working at the radio station that are relevant to his job in the television industry today. The interviewee also describes the working environment of WRFL during the late 1980s and early 1990s. WRFL's influence upon the Lexington community is also mentioned. Next, Lee talks of the people who were instrumental in the early days of WRFL. Lee's band and its performances are then explored. The interviewee's experience as the production director for WRFL is articulated. WRFL as a public access TV station, as well as its early problems with FCC censorship are examined. Lee's involvement in WRFL's fundraising is illustrated. Lee concludes the interview by sharing his favorite memories from working at WRFL and also comments upon the safety measures of the radio station.Interview Accession
