Interview Summary

George Geoghegan III is the great-grandson of T.B. Ripy who operated a distillery in Tyrone, Kentucky. In this video, Geohagan gives a tour of the T.B. Ripy House, explains how the house has been remodeled over the years and the work that is currently being done to restore the historic house. He talks about his family heritage going back to T.B. Ripy and talks about the various family members who have lived in the house over the years.

He talks about T.B. Ripy's business partnership with John Dowling and the distilleries and mills they operated. He discusses the Waterfill and Frazier Distillery Company which operated in Mexico during Prohibition.

Geoghegan discusses his desire to renovate the T.B. Ripy House as a bed and breakfast to become part of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
