Interview Summary

Philip Mummert, a former TVA employee, begins the interview by recalling how he was hired at TVA. Mummert then gives an overview of his career at TVA. The interviewee also discusses his favorite and least favorite aspects of being a TVA employee. Mummert details his background in environmental work in the 1970s, prior to joining TVA. Mummert details his role in planning a TVA public-relations boat tour down the Tennessee River, conceived by John Waters (a former member of the TVA Board of Directors). To conclude the interview, Mummert shares his final thoughts on working at TVA.
