Project: Kentucky Writers: Kentucky Writers On The Land Oral History Project
Interview Summary
Reece begins the interview by describing his move to the country, and the reasons behind this change of scenery. Reece also discusses the role of nature in the work of Kentucky writers, as well as how where a writer is from can impact the way he or she writes. Subsequently, Reece talks about the original Agrarian writers movement as well as the current revival of the movement. Next, urban and rural literature are explored. Additionally, the interviewee examines his own writing community and talks about his advocacy work in environmental issues. To conclude the interview, Reece highlights some of the most pressing environmental issues for the future.Interview Accession
