Interview Summary

Anne McCarty Braden (1924-2006) and her husband Carl Braden (1914-1975) worked in the civil rights movement in Jefferson County, Kentucky. Braden discusses her background and upbringing, as well as her and her husband's dedication to social justice. She talks about a court case about an African-American family for whom the Bradens purchased a house in Shively, a Louisville neighborhood, during Jim Crow.
