Mary Dorris, mother of then-recently deceased writer Michael Dorris, gives her family background, her life story, what it was like raising Michael, and what she knew of her son's adult life. She talks about his children, his time in school, and his relationships with his friends, girlfriends, and ex-wife, writer Louise Erdrich.
