Interview Summary

Samie Clark talks about his early life and childhood, and explains what it was like living on a farm in the 1920s as a child. Clark describes his involvement with keeping bees. He talks about how he maintains his hives and where he sells his honey, as well as which types of trees and flowers produce which kinds of honey. Clark talks about his gardening, describing the kinds of plants he grows. He talks about the effort required to maintain a garden, describing its size and variety. Clark talks about what it is like living in a rural community in Eastern Kentucky.
