Interview Summary
Jim Sawgrass is a member of the Florida Muskogee Creek Tribe and a living history interpreter who has educated the public about Southeastern Native American tribes for over thirty years. He also has extensive film and television credits portraying Native Americans. This interview was recorded at Fort Frederica on Saint Simons Island, Georgia on 27 August 2016 when he was portraying Tomochichi who was a Yamacraw chief along the Georgia coast about 1739.Interview Accession
