Interview Summary
Dr. Carolyn Purcell discusses her childhood of poverty and faith which led her to become a doctor. She talks about her undergraduate years as she advanced in her chemistry major and prepared to apply and interview for medical school. The interview process of getting accepted to medical school, her medical school years, her internship, and her residency at the University of Kentucky are discussed in detail. She discusses her practicing years, her retirement, and the novels she has written about abortion, as well as her faith and the death of her father.Interview Accession
