Interview Summary
A native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Roy Mumford served in the US Navy from 1961-1966. He served at the Bay of Pigs and on an aircraft carrier in the Gulf of Tonkin in Vietnam. He was the second African American to serve in the Hopkinsville Fire Department - for 20 years beginning in 1966. He has been a minister for more than 30 years.Interview Accession
