In this interview, Harry Fields discusses his personal background growing up in Owensboro, Kentucky, as an African American. He describes segregation in Owensboro and the African American communities themselves, including their leaders, activities, business, and strengths. He also describes integration and racial tensions in Owensboro during his youth.
