Interview Summary
Oscar H. Geralds, Jr. discusses the Kentucky Wild Rivers Bill, the sequence of threats to Red River Gorge, and Red River's designation for the federal Wild Rivers list. He talks about early chapters of the Sierra Club, early years of The Nature Conservancy Murphy's Pond, and the early years of the Environmental Quality Commission. He talks about being a scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop No. 3 in Lexington for 23 years, changing attitudes toward environmentalists, and his time with the Nature Preservers Commission.Interview Accession
