Interview Summary

James L. Hannah, born in Decatur, Illinois, served in the Air Force as an air technical service commander in W.W. II. Hannah had to postpone his marriage due to being drafted into the military. He was inducted at Louisville, Kentucky in September of 1942. Hannah was sent to Fort Knox for basic training and after that was sent to Adjutant General?s school at Fort Washington, Maryland. Hannah went on to train in ground, service, and air schools and eventually became a teacher to other officers. Hannah was discharged from the military in 1946.
