Interview Summary

This interview with Wayne County (Ky.) Solid Waste and PRIDE Coordinator Andrew Parmley begins with a discussion about his childhood in Wayne County (Ky.), including a detailed discussion about his childhood home. He then moves on to talk about his marriage and various occupations over the years, as well as his children. Next, Parmley moves on to talk about his work with Eastern Kentucky Personal Responsibility in a Desirable Environment (PRIDE) as a magistrate. He talks about PRIDE's efforts to address issues with sewer systems in Wayne County (Ky.). He then talks about groups who have collaborated with PRIDE's efforts. Parmley then recalls some memorable moments during his work with Eastern Kentucky Personal Responsibility in a Desirable Environment (PRIDE). Finally, Parmley talks about the permanent impact that PRIDE has had on the county and addresses what the county would do without the funding that PRIDE provides.
