Interview Summary

Heine was born and grew up in Sturgis, Michigan as part of the Baby Boomer generation. She attended University of Michigan where she met her husband. They moved to Frankfort, Kentucky initially and then to Lexington. Heine has been an active member of the League of Women Voters since the early nineties. She has held numerous formal positions for both the local Lexington chapter and the State league. Heine just recently finished advocating at the legislature as the legislature liaison.
