Interview Summary

David Rotenizer interviews J.D. Willoughby about his life growing up on his family's farm in Cane Creek outside of Stanton, Kentucky in the early 20th century. They discuss his family's history farming corn and tobacco in the area. Willoughby also talks about certain hardships such as being forced from his grandparents' farm, sharecropping during the Great Depression, and his supporting his family after his stepfather's suicide.
