Interview Summary
Bograd describes growing up in Lexington, Kentucky, where she attended first Henry Clay, then Paul Lawrence Dunbar high school as part of the Math Science Technology Center magnet program there. She became interested and active in the League of Women Voters of Lexington after her teacher assigned her class to write essays for the League's essay contest. She volunteered as a student board representative, ran the local and state chapter's social media pages, and served on the communications committee. She also helped with the state's project of voting restoration to felons, voter registration, and candidate forums. At the time of the interview, Bograd was a freshman at Yale University.Interview Accession
