Project Summary

This project focuses on the Scott family from the late 1800s to present. Originally from Kentucky, interviewee Caroline Scott discusses her father's education, hobbies, and career as a doctor, as well as her parents' marriage, involvement in a local church, and relationships with various neighbors and other members of the community. Caroline also describes her education, including her time at Miss Ella Williams Elementary School, Miss Lucy Collier's School, Margaret Hall High School in Versailles, and Sayre High School. In 1919, she attended college at the National Cathedral School in Washington, D.C, and after one year, she returned to Kentucky and joined the Volunteer Service League. She was eventually employed as a social worker.
