Interview Summary

Dr. Marianne McGrath graduated from the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine in 1968. She survived Polio as a child and went on to become a pediatrician and eventually a psychiatrist. Dr. McGrath was one of 14 women in a class of 58 students. The class had the largest number of women graduates of any class during the first ten years of the college. Dr. McGrath openly discusses having Polio as a child, growing up, pursuing her path to medicine during her college and medical school years, her professional career and family life.
