Interview Summary

Several Greek Jews recount their experiences in Europe during the Second World War. A Sephardic Jew discusses his detention in Auschwitz, his subsequent move to other camps, and his reunion with his brother, his only surviving family member. He tells of his playing in an orchestra for the German soldiers during much of the war, and of his contact with other Sephardic Jews.

Another Greek Jew asserts the futility of resisting the Nazis, noting that all three of her brothers were killed during the war. She describes her and many others' marriages soon after their liberation, and she discusses her first few years back in Greece.
