Interview Summary

Tim Dixon, born in Cumberland, KY on November 20th, 1931, enlisted in the Army in January 1949. Dixon served in the Korean War as a private first class machine gunner. Dixon obtained three injuries while in Korea, including a gunshot to the wrist and shrapnel to the knees. Dixon was discharged in November 1952 and received three purple hearts, a combat infantry badge, a good conduct ribbon, a U. N. ribbon, and a Korean service ribbon.
