Training consisted of Portuguese language, and technical skills. Her assignment site was Massangulo, in Niassa province. She worked at a Health Center / Youth Center. She was the first African American volunteer in her village. The interview includes discussion of training, working in a rural community, and evacuation due to COVID-19.
