Interview Summary

This interview with Personal Responsibility in a Desirable Environment (PRIDE) coordinator Caroline Edwards begins with a discussion of when and where she was born. She talks about her childhood home and what she and her friends would do for recreation. Edwards also talks about how her family obtained water and disposed of trash. Next, Edwards moves on to environmental topics such as her current method of trash disposal. She then describes her involvement with Personal Responsibility in a Desirable Environment (PRIDE) and how it has helped improve environmental conditions in Eastern Kentucky. Next, Edwards talks about her city?s relationship with water and solid waste and gives suggestions for improving those relationships. Edwards talks about the expansion of Personal Responsibility in a Desirable Environment (PRIDE) into other counties in Eastern Kentucky. Finally, Edwards talks about making recycling mandatory by law.
