Interview Summary
Riazur Sherwani, a former professor and student at Aligarh Muslim University, begins the interview by recalling his time spent at the university, with an emphasis upon the institution's culture. Following this, Sherwani's opinion on the partition is articulated. Then, changes made to the university following the partition are examined. Guest speakers and relevant political and social movements of the pre-partition era in Aligarh are also mentioned. The modern counterparts of these movements are touched on as well. Next, the interviewee's educational and personal backgrounds are shared. Additionally, Sherwani's relatives who moved to Pakistan following the partition are listed.
