Mr. Peeples discusses the establishment and functions of the Lexington-Fayette County Urban League, as well as the problems facing the organization and the Human Rights Commission. Also mentioned are the perceptions of the Urban League by the African American community. Mr. Peeples comments upon the living conditions encountered by African Americans in Lexington as compared to other cities, and African American leadership in the city.
