Interview Summary

Franklin "Frank" Price served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Côte d'Ivoire from 1969-1972 as an English as a Foreign Language teacher at the middle school level. He served the first two years in the rural village of Guiglo and his third year of service in the larger city of Adzopé. Price learned a lot during his service about the system of education that he was able to apply to his future work as a high school teacher ,and later as a Fulbright Hayes scholar in Africa and as a textbook developer at Stanford University. The Peace Corps was a transformative force in his life and work for which he is most grateful.
