Interview Summary
Mary Andrews was raised just over the Todd County line in Tennessee, primarily by her father who was a sharecropper. She met her husband, James, at church and after they were married, moved to his farm in Todd County, near Guthrie. Mr. Andrews, who died appreoximately 30 years ago, owned his land as did his parents. Ms. Andrews still was on their 100+ acre farm, where her son Walter raises tobacco and she, with help, grows a garden.Interview Accession
