Project Summary

This project consists of interviews concerning the Appalachian Leadership and Community Outreach project, a student service-learning program in cooperation with southeastern Kentucky colleges. Topics include recreation, education, community organization, community health services, hygeine education, nutrition education, Benny Ray Bailey, Lyndon B. Johnson, War on Poverty, Alice Lloyd College, Caney Creek Community Center, Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA), Appalachian Volunteers, cultural enrichment programs, Bruner Foundation, John D. Rockefeller III.
