Interview Summary
Sullivan talks about how he was the Majority Leader of the Kentucky Senate during Chandler's second administration. He also discusses his support of Chandler's campaign for governor in 1955. He talks about Chandler's fiscal policies in regards to bonds, taxes, and infrastructure. He discusses the development of roads and Chandler's opinions on toll roads. He discusses some of Chandler's accomplishments, including property law reforms, the University of Kentucky Medical Center, desegregation of public schools, and Chandler's fiscal policies. He discusses some of the controversies surrounding Chandler, Chadnler's personality, and Chandler's unsuccessful 1963 gubernatorial campaign.Interview Accession
