Interview Summary

Mamie Dillard, an African American woman raised on a farm in Casky Ky., a small community a few miles away from Hopkinsville, Ky., describes rural home life in the 1930s, '40s, and '50s. Dillard describes her many jobs, from police dispatcher to Mary Kay Cosmetics sales. Her husband, Bill Dillard, is a former Christian County Sheriff.
