Interview Summary
Mr. Ealom, who was widowed by his wife and fellow gardener, Loretta, grew up in Paducah impovershed. After graduating from Louisville high school and a brief stint in Cleveland, Ohio, he was drafted into the Army. He stayed in the Army until retirement in the mid-eighties. Then he met his late wife, a native of Todd County, Kentucky, and moved back to Kentucky, near Elkton, on her farm. There he began his gardening life.Interview Accession
