Interview Summary
Charlotte Morgan discusses growing up and working in Dayton, Ohio. She talks about her family and moving back to her family land on Stinking Creek around 2006 and raising her grandson, Joseph. She discusses issues like drug abuse and poverty on the Creek and getting by. Charlotte loves to garden and remembers her grandparents? garden and livestock. She tells of how her uncle was featured in the book "Stinking Creek" by John Fetterman. Charlotte talks about what she likes to cook and says that she doesn?t want gardens to die out in the community. She discusses the Grow Appalachia Gardening Program at the Lend-A-Hand Center. She hopes the Center will continue on. Charlotte talks about the Knox County Farmers? Market and participating in the Daniel Boone Festival Parade in Barbourville.Interview Accession
