Interview Summary

Van Willigen began his career in applied anthropology as the Director of Community Development for the Papago Tribe of Arizona (now the Tohono O?odham Nation). He retired after an academic career at the University of Kentucky and was the 2003 recipient of the Society?s Sol Tax Distinguished Service Award.
