Interview Summary
Dace Stubbs is a member of the Brown-Forman Corporation board of directors and the granddaughter of company founder George Garvin Brown. In this interview she discusses how she became the first woman on the Brown-Forman Corporation board of directors and offers advice for other women who wish to work in the spirits industry. She talks at length about her father, grandfather, and uncle Lyons Brown as well as other families in the industry. She discusses the Brown-Forman Corporation's dedication to philanthropy and education.Stubbs talks about changes in the bourbon industry and at Brown-Forman since the 1950s. She talks about their entrance into the global market. She discusses various products manufactured by the Brown-Forman Corporation. She talks about Kentucky tourism and the bourbon industry.
