Interview Summary

Leo King, a friend of Happy Chandler's, begins the interview by detailing his memories of Chandler. King's involvement with Governor Chandler's first administration is discussed. The legacy of Chandler in Kentucky is also considered. Chandler's childhood circumstances and personality are then mentioned, followed by a brief overview of King's personal background and his connections to Chandler. To conclude the interview, King talks of his appointment to the Public Service Commission in the state of Kentucky by Chandler, and shares his knowledge about Chandler's father.
