Interview Summary

In this interview, Susan Schmidt Horning talks with audio engineers Jim Davison and Bruce Leslie. The interview begins with a discussion regarding the history of radio in Cleveland (Ohio). It then moves on to a tour of Jim Davison's memorabilia room, which includes items from the Moondog Coronation Ball.
The interview then moves to various excerpts from Cleveland radio stations in the 1950s and 1960s.

Bruce Leslie then joins the discussion to talk about his experience as an audio engineer in Cleveland (Ohio). He talks about the history of recording there and discusses the advent of magnetic recording. They then discuss various types of audio recording equipment, such as multi-track tape recorders.

The three then discuss various people in the recording business in Cleveland (Ohio), such as Hank Schneider of Schneider Recording Studios, and The Baker Brothers. The interview ends with a demonstration of a recording lathe and a discussion about the technology available at Cleveland Recording.
