New Deal in Kentucky Oral History Project

Project Summary

In this collection, members of Kentucky's political class during the 1930's discuss the New Deal. The New Deal was Roosevelt's program to combat the Depression and was in effect from 1933-1939. The New Deal included programs such as the Works Progress Administration and the Tennessee Valley Authority. Topics discussed include how Kentucky viewed the New Deal, and how the New Deal affected Kentucky political campaigns both at the state and national levels.
