Interview Summary
Lucius Ross was one of the first African American students to attend the University of Kentucky. In this interview, he discusses his family background, his experience in segregated public schools, and his contact with UK professors as a child. He talks about his high school education and his decision to attend UK. He talks about the attitudes of the faculty and other students regarding integration and says that he did not experience any racial incidents at UK.
