Interview Summary
At the time of this interview, Russ Read was the Executive Director of Beacon House, a transitional living program for men in Louisville, Kentucky. Read talks about his career shift from working in television production to working with substance abuse recovery. He describes life at Beacon House and discusses opioid addiction among men. He also talks about the inception of the Kentucky Harm Reduction Coalition, an organization he founded to distribute Narcan kits and provide training.Interview Accession
