Interview Summary
Blake Stabler (Russia, 2000-2002; Education) discusses working as an English teacher in the Volga River Valley area of eastern Russia toward the end of the Peace Corps' brief time in Russia. Stabler talks about his motivation for joining the Peace Corps, the application process, and Peace Corps training. He describes his work and living situation, his friendships, and the unique aspects of being a volunteer in Russia. In addition, Stabler explains how his Peace Corps experience and interest in agricultural development influenced his decision to pursue his master's degree at the University of Kentucky Patterson School.Interview Accession
