Interview Summary

Mr. Warford reminisces about the Bates and Warford family histories as he recalls tales of his grandparents experiences as slaves, the miscegenation in the family tree, and his parents' occupations and role in the household. He remembers selling milk and butter from the farm, sharecropping and losing his own farm to the government. Mr. Warford talks about his educational background and employment experiences in the furniture store, recalls trucking horses across country for the Chenault family, and raising his children.
