Interview Summary

Margaret Ann "Maggie" Jarry just finished her training and hoped to serve as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Likpe Kukuratumi, Ghana when they were suddenly evacuated due to COVID-19 just 36 hours after swearing in. She learned the local language named Ewe and had gone to her town for her naming ceremony. She was named "Mbe Maggie" and was excited to serve in her town and felt very welcomed. Maggie has applied twice before to the Peace Corps and this felt like her dream was coming true but was evacuated before she was able to serve in her town.
