In this interview Dr. Ashburn offers his insight on what it is like to be a physician in Appalachia, as well as offering his unique experience with being a outsider to the region. In the interview, we discuss the challenges he faced, as well as his different work at the Lend-a-Hand center. Dr. Ashburn is a true advocate of the Eastern Kentucky region and he done a great job describing his contributions to the region
