Interview Summary
Thomas "Tom" O. Zawacki (Chair, Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents, 2009-2011) was a charter member of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) Foundation, Inc. board and has been a member of the Board of Regents since 2004. In this interview, Zawacki, a retired Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky (TMMK) executive, compares his roles and responsibilities on the Foundation board versus the Board of Regents, and discusses co-chairing the Fulfilling the Promise campaign. Zawacki speaks about KCTCS technical skills training programs for the automotive and horse industries. He also commends Governor Paul Patton for having the vision to reform higher education in Kentucky and President McCall and his leadership team for the success of the System.Interview Accession
