Interview Summary

Johnson talks about the circumstances that led him to Louisville, and his trouble finding employment during the Great Depression. He also gives personal recollections about people he knew who were involved in the Great Migration. Johnson then talks about his experience in an African American fraternity at the University of Michigan.
