Interview Summary

Carrol Engler talks about growing up in rural Kentucky before he was drafted into the military. He describes his experience as an infantry soldier in World War II. Engler talks about being in the Pacific Theater of operations, the places he went, and his missions at those locations. Engler is also asked about opportunities he had for rest and relaxation, and what food rations were available to him. Engler then talks about his life after he was discharged.
