Interview Summary

Allie Mae Burke talks about her life as a daughter, wife, mother, and teacher. She also campaigned for her son who ran for jailer and was reelected four times. She remembered several of the local politicians in the Pikeville area, as well as women getting to vote, and the buying, selling, and influencing of votes in general.
