Interview Summary
Michael Svetlik served as a volunteer in Poland from 1992-1994. He served in the 5th training group and noted that the Poland program ran from 1990 – 2001. He taught English in a secondary school in a city that had been part of Germany prior to World War II. Many of the residents spoke two other languages and most of them spoke German. Michael lived in a dormitory where students who lived too far from the school also resided. He spent a summer at a language institute in Krakow. Michael met his wife, another volunteer during training.Interview Accession
