Interview Summary

Patsy Dills Tracy (Turkey, 1965-1967; Education Program) discusses being an English as a second language teacher at an urban high school, a university, and a village high school and elementary school during her two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Turkey. She also mentions her experience with merchants in the village and helping them develop advertisements in English for tourists. In addition, the interview includes discussion of her experience as part of a married couple and as a woman in Turkish culture. She also discusses her life and educational background both before and after joining the Peace Corps.
